Old Movies

Tonight I watched Willie Wonka which is still amazing after thirty some years. Then I watched You Can't Take It With You and Destry Rides Again (which was pretty much the basis for a lot of Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles).

Great stuff.

You pro'lly know this already so pardon me while I whip this out: There's a remake of Willie Wonka opening next year with Johnny Depp as Wonka.

You'll hate me for this- but I think Gene Wilder was totally miscast in that movie. I like Willie Wonka, except for Mr. Wilder. That stated, Johnny Depp as Willie Wonka- barf!
