The Yiddish dictionary that I went to in order to spell the word in question suggested the spelling 'mitzveh' be used for the Yiddish word meaning 'good deed' in order to distinguish it from the Hebrew word meaning 'Commandment' which they spelled as 'mitzvah'.

But I'm goyim (or 'goyem' as it is spelled on some Yiddish sites), so what do I know from mitzvahs?

Sandwiches for everyone! Well, almost everyone. Well, just a couple of people, really.
