Look on the sunny side

So the last week and a half has been like a series of swift kicks to the nuts. Today's news is that one of my former rugby teammates died unexpectedly. He was a really good kid, and I'm absolutely gutted.

So here's the deal. I need some good news. Please, please, please leave a comment and let me know something good that is happening in your life. It doesn't matter what it is. I just really need to hear something happy.

I'm feeling you on the swift kicks thing. Even sans nuts.

But...hmmm...let's see. Good news???

The kids played violin in a school fine arts festival today. They were really cute.

That's the best I've got, sweetie. Hang in there!

It certainly pales in comparison to the loss of a friend, but you said you didn't care what it is, so...

I got a new job. A good one that I was hoping to get. So that's a bit of good news.

I've stopped having nightmares about falling through the floors of churches. Now I'm having nightmares about buildings crumbling to dust around me. Which is good news, because they're usually very ugly buildings.

My heart swells for you hon, big hugs from me.

After countless rejections, endless tears and much frustration, I've finally got myself a pupillage (last step on way to becoming fully qualified barrister). It's close to home (same county), pays better than most pupillages and I get a better deal than many of my fellow pupils.

Yay.

I got notice that I'm going to have a third interview with a company that I'd really like to work for in a city that I'd really like to live in.

I hope your week really picks up.
