And speaking of events . . . GB:NY4!!!!!!

GB:NY4, May 25-28

Details to follow.

And as an homage to the various IV movies out there, here are some possible taglines for us to use (let me know which one you like the best):

Get ready for the next world war (Rocky IV)

Three Times Before You Have Felt The Terror, Known The Madness, Lived The Horror. But This Is The One You've Been Screaming For. (Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter)

On land, on sea, or in the air, no place is safe from them! (Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol)

It's ancient wisdom against teenage spunk. (The Next Karate Kid)

They said it was over. They were wrong. (Omen IV: The Awakening)

The erotic masterpiece (Emmanuelle IV)

Pure Evil Never Really Dies (Nightmare on Elm Street 4)

While I think the quote from Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter is the most appropriate, I'm really leaning toward The Next Karate Kid. Go figure.

Now, start spreading the news so we have lots of people attending.

You missed the best of all. Okay, it's not really a tagline. It's a quote from the movie, but it's still a IV movie. From Star Trek IV, when Kirk and Spock were on the bus with the punk kid:

"Excuse me! Would you mind stopping that damn noise?"

Now what fits better than that? :)

Shame on you for not adding this one either:

"I feel a great disturbance in the Force. As if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced." - Obi-Wan Kenobi, "Star Wars IV: A New Hope"

That, or:

"One thing's for sure, we're all gonna be a lot thinner." - Han Solo, SW4 :-)

Okay. Confused. I made one comment on my blog about how people need to start talking about this. And now there are dates?? Also, didn't I hear a few people at Zeitzeuge's blog say that they didn't want to do it Memorial Day weekend? I think that would be a great weekend because it is already a long weekend, BUT by this point many people may already have made plans for that weekend. Who is having the conversation about this? When were dates picked? Who is organizing this puppy anyway?

Wow. Gotta block this off on the calendar now. I don't know if the bf will be available. This was kinda sudden.

Ok yes, this is the dates we're shooting for. June is out for us and July is too far out we think. Memorial day is the only day that seems to work. There's always going to be someone out there with conflicting dates. We're never able to make everyone happy with the dates.

I'll confirm things with Brian tonight. Start calling the bars and figuring out places for Saturday Night and Sunday, although I'm sure we'll do The Eagle one night and the Dugout on Sunday. What the bar for Friday called? I can't remember.

Also "They said it was over. They were wrong." I think would make a FABULOUS t-shirt.

Sweet mother of God. I will be in New Orleans the next weekend. Can I possibly handle two weekends of partying? I gotta ponder this one.

I like the Friday the 13th one as well, but it's a tad long. I also like the Karate Kid one as a nice second. But, hello? We're gay, right? And blog writers, to boot? Aren't we supposed to be able to come up with this stuff? Hmmm. Nothing is coming. Must be writer's block.
