For those of you keeping score

It's God - 7, Boy Scouts - 0.

More updates as the story develops.

UPDATE: I should point out that I do not take pleasure in the death of children. However, 1) 5 of the 7 killed were adults and 2) a good friend of mine was kicked out of the Scouts after more than a decade as a Scout and a Scout leader when they found out he was gay. I think I'm allowed a little schadenfreude.

Bwahahahahahahaha!! Not that I haven't thought that... I just haven't had the courage to blog it.

C'mon guys! Dead boy scouts? Not cool.

But seriously, I don't think fatalities are increasing at all. It's just that that first accident was so spectacularly tragic that now any boy scout that gets a paper cut will make national news. They've been dying for years, it's just that there was no momentum to make each incident more than a local story.

The press is a bunch of diseased vultures.

Oh, all right. I confess I had a little freude cone of schaden myself when I first started reading about these accidents.

I LOVE Schadenfreude. Especially with a side of Himmel und Erde followed by some Schwarzwalder.

Oh wait, you're not talking about food.

I prefer Gewurtraminer myself.

Schadenfreude, like revenge, is best enjoyed cold. Ice cold. Mmm.

When I saw on CNN that mother nature was taking pot shots at the Boy Scouts, I kinda snickered. Then I thought, "Damn, I'm going to hell for this." I'm so glad I'll have some good company. Teeheeheee!!!
